IN LIGHT-IN

I have gotten the opportunity to be a part of something pretty awesome for the past 15 months. We have "IN LIGHT-IN" every Friday afternoon. Its a Christian ministry, which is basically a few of us going down to Benjamin's Park and loving on these children that don't have anything. The afternoon is filled with some soccer, football, running races, duck duck goose, coloring, and dominoes. We have a small lesson on sweet baby Jesus, and then we give them some grub.

Here are just a few face's that have blessed my life beyond belief.

This kid right here has a servants heart and is always wanting help us serve the food.

This little sassy thing is Miss Cornelle with her cool ballon she got for Christmas.
Here we have Gabe giving the kids some ice. They go crazy over it. ICE is something they never get. Its the smallest things that mean so much.

The girls are going to show off their sweet coloring skills.
This is what they call home. Now for me this has put things in perspective. They literally don't have anything. The poverty here is very real and in your face. I know I'm not the only who feels that there needs to be something done about this, but the problems are so big where do you even begin? I guess it's kinda like ONE person can't save the world, but if everyONE did something to help then we're closer to a better tomorrow.
Keep the faith and be kind to one another.
