Carnival Parade

Carnival Parade in Dominica is "kinda" like Mardi Gras in Louisiana.
All of the locals love a reason to take off work and party. So Carnival is all about drinking rum punch, dancing in the street to music coming out of huge speakers that they strap to the back of trucks and trailers blasting their music while driving up and down the street, "fun right?"
"They like their music and they like it LOUD"

Watch the little girl in the front left get after it... pure greatness.

Emily and I with some locals in a traditional costume for Carnival.
I called them the Wild Things. These are moments I'll never forget.

the hot air balloons are an outdoor metal wall hanging for porches and such but we hang them inside :) we got them at lowes on clearance last year! hopefully they will be back this summer!
